Genuine woodland inside the city: dirt tracks, shade and quiet. One of our favourite spots in Lisbon.

Small, with a view over the river. Good for a short stop.
Frente ribeirinha de Alcântara
Flat and breezy, with the river alongside the whole way.
The ground
Sharp contrasts. Down at river level it is industrial, with heavy traffic and poor pavements; up the hill it is woodland. The climb is real, so we tend to drive up and walk down.
