Frequently asked questions

How to book, how far ahead, how payment works, what happens if you need to cancel, and how far we travel to collect your dog.

Bookings

How far ahead do I need to book?

We need at least 48 hours' notice. There are two of us and every day is planned by hand — that window is what lets us put your dog in the right group, with the right dogs. For holidays and long weekends, book much further ahead: there are only a few places.

Is my booking confirmed straight away?

Choosing a slot is a request, not a confirmation. We confirm it ourselves, once we've checked we can genuinely be there and that your dog fits the group that day. You get an email as soon as it's decided.

It's our first time. How does it start?

We always start with an initial assessment: we meet your dog, see how they are on the leash, with other dogs and in the car, and talk through their routine. Only after that do they join a group. That is also when you sign the liability agreement.

Prices and payment

How does payment work?

You pay online by card, through the link we send you. The card is held when you request the booking and is only actually charged when we confirm it — if we can't take the booking, you are not charged.

Does the monthly package renew automatically?

No. It is a one-off purchase for the month it covers. Nothing renews and nothing is charged automatically afterwards. When you want another month, you buy another one.

Are there any extra costs I should know about?

Yes, and they are all on the page: +5€ at weekends, on public holidays or after 6pm; pickup and drop-off +5€ inside Greater Lisbon and +10€ outside; and for boarding a refundable 100€ damage deposit, returned after the stay. Nothing else is hidden.

Cancellations

What if I need to cancel?

Tell us as early as you can. With reasonable notice we can offer the place to another dog and it is no problem at all. Very late cancellations or no-shows may still be charged — the day was already held for your dog.

What happens in bad weather?

Ordinary rain stops nothing — we go anyway, with towels. If the weather is genuinely dangerous (extreme heat, thunderstorms, weather warnings) we reschedule at no cost. The safety of the group decides, not the calendar.

Your dog

Does my dog need to be up to date on vaccinations?

Yes. Your dog needs to be up to date on vaccinations and worming, and fit to be around other dogs. We work in groups, and that only works if it is true for every dog. We also ask for your vet’s contact details.

What if my dog doesn't get on with other dogs?

Then they do not go in a group. We do one-to-one walks for exactly this, and it is a completely normal choice — plenty of dogs simply prefer it. It is one of the things we work out at the initial assessment.

What if my dog gets ill or hurt while with you?

We call you immediately. If it is urgent and we cannot reach you, we take them to a vet — which is why we ask for your vet’s details and an emergency contact when you sign the liability agreement.

Do you let dogs off the leash?

Only with your written permission, and only on outings where it makes sense and the location is safe. By default everything is on-leash. It is not a decision we make on our own.

Where we work

Do you collect from my home? How far do you go?

We do. We work across Greater Lisbon — the city plus the surrounding municipalities: Amadora, Cascais, Loures, Mafra, Odivelas, Oeiras, Sintra and Vila Franca de Xira. Pickup and drop-off is +5€ inside that area and +10€ outside it. If you are not sure, just ask.

Who actually turns up for my dog?

One of the two of us — Elisa or Carolina. We are not a platform or an app that sends a different person each time. It is always the same face, which is why dogs settle so quickly.
